ABOUT ME

I completed an undergraduate degree in Ceramics at OCAD University in 2002 and have been working within the arts and education ever since. My passion lay in the juxtaposition of historical and fantastical, while questioning the essence of function with clay. I take inspiration from nature, the urban environment and my travels. Over the past15 years, I have participated in several group shows, as well as several outdoor shows over the years.

Presently, I am teaching in the Faculty of Design at OCAD University and I am a doctoral candidate at University of Toronto in the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (UT/OISE). My research project considers hip-hop as a means of solidarity between Black and Indigenous communities and how we can use that to begin decolonizing education.

In all of my academic research, my ability to think creatively complements my experience and provides me with vibrant perspectives on education.
